Managing the consolidation, accounting and taxes, ensuring that all related activities are carried out under the legal requirements and successfully delivering the company’s objective results and timelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate monthly statements,
  • Periodically preparing financial accounts in accordance with local GAAPs and IFRS,
  • Overcoming external auditing procedures under EU and US standards for the Consolidated Financial Statements;
  • Developing and maintaining satisfactory internal control environment under SOX regulation;
  • Tax compliance at local level and ensure tax matters are managed and planned. (Including, but not limited to “transfer prices” implication, triangulation of operations based on agreements such as with CMO and Distribution Partners, patent, box, etc.),
  • Support and provide recommendations and identify key issues in the context of Financial DD, both of the company accounts or on third parties financial reporting;
  • Report actual cash flows timely and with the necessary detail to understand the key drivers impacting financial position of the group;
  • Produce acceptable Revenue Recognition Process (Future);
  • Manage and monitor the day to day operations of the team, encouraging team work
  • Fundamental partner in implementing ERP systems
  • Manage Grants and other financial resources from public institutions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a finance/economic discipline is required;
  • 10 years experience in finances, tax, accounting and internal control;
  • 5 years within management functions in a Finance department, preferably within Biotech/Pharma;
  • Knowledge of Navision or other ERP’s;
  • Business intelligence;
  • International experience, auditing and previous experience in SOX (implementing or auditing it), will be an added advantage;
  • Experience in working with ERP’s;
  • Strong influencing skills: proven ability to get things done without formal authority;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to details;
  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written);
  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
