Clinical Science Data Analyst - Sensor Data

The ideal candidates should have at least 3 + years of experience in Clinical science  and study design in healthcare, biotech or pharmaceutical settings, especially in neurodegenerative diseases and writing narratives and publications and analysing data  using sensor data –biomechanical, ECG, EEG

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project manage Digital Biomarker Data Analysis efforts in different neurodegenerative diseases like e.g. Multiple Sclerosis, including the development of presentations, posters and journal manuscripts
  • Support the clinical interpretation of the Data Analysis results and the preparation of results for physicians
  • Support the development of data analysis roadmaps
  • Review, challenge and consolidate and present data analysis results from the Digital Biomarker Data Analysis team to the clinical development programs
  • Drive the understanding of the data analysis results by clinical development programs through the development of compelling narratives and presentations
  • Drive the publication of results and the presentation of data analysis results at conferences

Qualifications and Experience:

Must Haves

  • Very good university degree (PhD level) in medicine, statistics, engineering, natural science or informatics
  • 3+ years of clinical science experience, ideally in Multiple Sclerosis or related conditions
  • Experience in experimental/clinical study design
  • Track record of analyzing data sets and data visualization
  • Strong publication record
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to communicate data analyses in lay terms to very diverse and heterogeneous audiences
  • Understanding of theoretical underpinnings of relevant data analysis methods
  • Self-starting team player
  • Highly efficient user of MS Office, excellent PowerPoint slide writer
  •  Excellent in English; excellent writing skills
  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required

Nice to Haves

  • Conceptual understanding of deep learning and other machine learning techniques
  • Experience with sensor data streams; experience with biomechanical (e.g. movement data such as accelerometer, gyroscope), speech, ECG, and/or EEG data would be highly desirable
  • Experience in a scientific role in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with clinical studies
  • Experience with remote patient monitoring
  • Experience with signal processing
