Our client, an innovative and dynamic bio-pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland, covering multiple therapeutic areas, with a strong track record of building successful alliances to license, develop and market medicines that improve patients’ lives. They are currently looking for a Supply Chain Planner for a 1 Year contract based in the Basel area.

The ideal candidate should have 6+  years of previous experience in Supply chain with a focus on Demand/Supply planning and End-End order management. You will be responsible for the deliver of business objective metrics such as fill rates, forecast accuracy and write-offs, for assigned territories/customers. Furthermore, you will ensure currency, robustness and sustainability of the business processes to deliver results consistently and integrity in the Master Data in the ERP system, managing the life-cycle of SKU’s from set-up to phase-out, registration and licence data and planning parameters. Lastly, you will be a key stakeholder in all projects and responsible for developing the long term demand forecasts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support and independently execute demand forecasting process and replenishment planning process for assigned territories using a planning tool;
  • Prepare and participate in Country-level S&OP process;
  • Review each incoming purchase order against forecast, agreed MOQs, Price and delivery timelines;
  • Initiate the “Order to cash” cycle by issuing a corresponding PO to the Supplier;
  • Monitor progress of an order throughout the cycle and take a pro-active role in identifying & resolving issues in achieving high fulfilment rates;
  • Coordinate between the Customer and the Supplier to ensure the availability of Shipping documents for import/export application and final shipment;
  • Communicate ETAs, potential delays and other issues impacting delivery timelines to the customers;
  • Close POs and book costs in the system on delivery completion;
  • Review and assess the feasibility of Order change requests and execute the same by coordinating with all impacted parties;
  • Manage, analyse and reconcile purchase orders internally and externally;
  • Generate customer invoices for facilitating shipments and payments;
  • Act as the first point of escalation of all service related issues;
  • Publish weekly and monthly MIS on Customer Service;
  • Partner with Regulatory, Quality & other supply chain Teams to ensure timely execution of all product changes such as NPIs, site transfers, relabeling etc;
  • Develop the 5 years forecasts for various products in coordination with the regional & local marketing/commercial teams and in alignment with the sales budget process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field of study. MBA, MSc or other technical graduate degree preferred;
  • PMI or equivalent certification preferred;
  • APICS or equivalent certification preferred;
  • Experience in working in a dynamic global organization;
  • Knowledge of SAP “Order to Cash” module operation;
  • Hands-on Knowledge of demand planning processes and tools ( INFOR or any other statistical forecasting tool);
  • Understanding of the FMCG industry dynamics in Europe;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally, both written and orally, to a wide variety of audiences;
  • Skilled in influencing and partnering with others, both inside and outside Supply Chain;
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Certification;
  • Strong results orientation, driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc;
  • Strong financial orientation, interpretation and analysis skills required;
  • Demonstrated initiative through problem-solving and system thinking;
  • Prior experience with pharmaceutical products in a clinical setting;
  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
