Financial Accountant – 6237

 

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company focused on biopharmaceuticals, is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant.

 

This role is an initial 6-month contract ideally starting 09.12.2024 to 30.06.2025 with extension, to be based in Basel, Switzerland.

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

Month-End Reporting:

  • Execute various month-end reporting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial close.

Ad Hoc Support for Controlling Community:

  • Provide ad hoc support to the controlling community, including Record to Report (RTR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Work closely with the SSC Manchester team to support various financial operations.

Audit Support:

  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Support the revenue recognition testing during the group audit

Revenue Recognition Process Support:

  • Support the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders to accurately recognize and report revenue

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • Education: Degree in Finance accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English and German
  • Experience: 2-5 years 
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details
  • Able to deal with priorities and demands.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment.
