IT Specialist – Medical Technologies – 6135 URA

This is a permanent role based in Basel. An ideal candidate is someone who has experience working in a med-tech or a hospital environment with fluency in German and English.

 

Main Responsibilities:

·       Network integration of all medical devices

·       Ensuring data exchange between medical devices and hospital systems

·       Installation, operation and support of server and client-based middleware and expert systems

·       Troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of IT faults

·       Project collaboration in the introduction of new systems and migration of existing systems

·       Interface between users and manufacturers/suppliers

·       Documentation of the systems and their operation

Qualifications and Experience:

·       Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required

·       Completed training as an IT specialist or medical IT specialist or an equivalent qualification

·       Several years of professional experience, preferably in a hospital environment and/or in medical technology

·       In-depth specialist knowledge, particularly in network technology, server administration (Linux and Windows), databases, script programming and Windows PCs

·       Experience with medical data communication systems like DICOM, HL7 etc

·       Team player with a networked, analytical mindset and a precise, service-oriented way of working

·       Willingness to work outside of normal working hours
