Our client is a global Pharmaceutical company developing targeted and innovative therapies in oncology. They are currently looking for 2 Key Account Managers Hematology-Neurooncology to join the Oncology team to develop the medical strategy for their new products in Switzerland.

–       1 role to cover the French-speaking part of Switzerland, Ticino, Bern, Solothurn

–       1 role to cover Central and eastern Switzerland (German-speaking excl. Bern & Solothurn)

 As Key Account Manager in Hematology & Neuro-oncology, you will report to the Oncology Business Unit Manager and collaborate with internal departments, other field teams and colleagues, as well as your medical counterparts.

This is a permanent position based in Switzerland.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key stakeholders within the oncology field, including hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare organizations, to achieve sales targets and maximize market share.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including oncologists, oncology nurses, and other healthcare professionals, through regular visits, meetings, and educational activities.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our oncology products to key stakeholders, providing scientific information, clinical data, and educational resources to support the adoption and utilization of our products.
  • Understand patient pathway in the management of the disease, identify key levers and co-create projects with HCPs to improve patient experience.
  • Conduct market analysis and stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments related to oncology products. Utilize this knowledge to identify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and address customer needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, medical affairs, and market access, to ensure coordinated efforts and seamless execution of key account plans. Provide valuable insights and feedback from the field to support the development of marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate and up-to-date information on products, availability, and ordering processes.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market data, and prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback. Use this information to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • A medical education (physician, pharmacist)
  • Education in Life Science (PharmD, PhD, MSc)
  • German level C2 or mother tongue for Central and eastern Switzerland (German-speaking excl. Bern & Solothurn) OR French level C2 or mother tongue for the French-speaking part of Switzerland, Ticino, Bern, Solothurn
  • English level C1
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry, oncology/hematology field experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Switzerland
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, oncology market dynamics, treatment guidelines, and healthcare regulations in Switzerland
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellence in working in a cross functional environment
