Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Analytical Lab Technician to join our client's dynamic Biocatalysis/Protein Engineering Team within the Chemical and Analytical Development (CHAD) organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing biocatalytic processes, supporting the development of innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze samples for a variety of compound classes, including small molecules, oligonucleotides, and proteins, using HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, SFC, GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, and RapidFire-MS.
  • Interpret analytical data, utilizing statistical tools as needed.
  • Document analytical raw data using a specific LIMS system to track samples and analyses.
  • Develop analytical methods using HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, SFC, GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, and RapidFire-MS.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment.
  • Assist in the development and execution of assays to support enzyme screenings in a high-throughput (HTP) format.

Requirements:

  • Lab technician (apprenticeship) or BSc/MSc level in analytical chemistry or analytical biochemistry, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and a strong understanding of analytical separation, detection, and measurement concepts.
  • Experience with small molecule detection using LC-MS and GC-MS is strongly preferred.
