Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a talented:

Manufacturing Technician

Contract Duration: as soon as possible to 31/12/2026 

Location: Valais, Switzerland

The Manufacturing Technician supports daily manufacturing operations in USP and DSP areas. The role focuses on equipment handling, material preparation, cleaning activities, and GMP documentation to ensure safe and efficient production. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic equipment checks and support calibration activities.
  • Handle single-use assemblies and assist with equipment setup.
  • Support buffer exchange, filtration, and basic process operations.
  • Operate autoclaves (loading, running cycles, unloading materials).
  • Check availability of consumables and chemicals and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare ethanol and support dispensing activities.
  • Clean production areas and rooms according to GMP standards.
  • Support material handling and buffer drainage activities.
  • Deliver samples to QC and other departments.
  • Complete GMP documentation and batch records.
  • Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Support investigations and continuous improvement activities when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
  • Technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent training in biotech, chemistry, pharma, or laboratory technology.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP and cleanroom environments.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and technical instructions in English.
  • 1–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing (USP/DSP is a plus).
