Mechanical Engineer – 5099

Our client is a leading Medical Technology company in Switzerland. It is headquartered in Central Switzerland and has a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners.

For our client, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a permanent role to be based in Central Switzerland area.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Product development according to the innovation process in an interdisciplinary project team.

·      Mechanical development, design and testing of components / assemblies for new medical devices in accordance with applicable standards

·      Preparation of requirements, test and project documentation in English

·      Carrying out tests, simulations and evaluating measurement data and drawing well-founded conclusions

·      Conducting technical discussions with internal and external suppliers

·      Ensuring product quality and costs with respect to our high standards

Qualifications and Experience:

·      Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required

·      Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in the field of mechanical or plastics engineering.

·      Interest in the function and optimisation of ventilators

·      Creative and open personality with pleasure in working in interdisciplinary teams 

·      Design experience in 3D-CAD for the creation of tool-bound parts

·      Ability to analyse complex issues and present corresponding conclusions to an interdisciplinary team in a comprehensible manner and then implement them efficiently

·      Knowledge of pneumatics, machine tests, data evaluation and statistics is advantageous

·      Good knowledge of German and English

·      Experience in the development of medical products is an advantage
