- Position: Scientific Business Analyst
- Location: Basel Headquarters
- Contract: starting ASAP, ending on 31.12.2024, with potential extensions.
Role Overview:
As a Scientific Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to assess and bridge gaps between an innovative molecule management request platform (developed in-house) and existing digital solutions slated for decommissioning. This will involve identifying and implementing necessary capabilities and features in the new platform. You will work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to update training materials, and provide comprehensive support and training to scientists, enabling them to fully benefit from the enhanced digital product suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and document user needs and feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
- Perform requirement analysis and documentation, including "As-Is" and "To-Be" business analysis for processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
- Enhance training materials, such as user guides, and other essential documentation.
- Provide end-to-end support and training for end users on both existing and new use cases.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with product teams and scientific partners.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline, with experience in R&D labs and a strong interest in digital transformative solutions.
- 1-5 years of experience in business analytics.
- High motivation and curiosity for Pharma and R&D Informatics (Data & Analytics).
- Experience with Jira and other tools relevant to user requirements documentation, preferably in agile environments.
- Knowledge of software system design patterns and a keen interest in whiteboarding new designs.
- Basic programming skills are a plus (e.g., for validating and testing ideas); access to a team of developers and APIs will be provided (optional).
