Background:
Within the Immunology and Cardiovascular/Metabolic Therapeutic Area, you will join an international and collaborative team dedicated to pioneering the development of innovative medicines. We are seeking a motivated scientist to oversee, coordinate, and evaluate outsourced in vitro and in vivo studies, contributing to the R&D efforts within this therapeutic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, organize, and manage externally conducted studies in collaboration with internal scientists, procurement teams, and contract research organizations, ensuring timely execution.
- Serve as an advisor for study design, defining scientific rationale, establishing success metrics, and monitoring progress.
- Conduct high-quality analyses of study data, and effectively summarize, present, and discuss findings with project teams.
- Maintain excellent interactions with vendors and keep an overview of activities and capabilities of relevant CROs.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Life Sciences (e.g., Cellular/Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical research setting
- Proven organizational and planning skills, with experience in analyzing preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies
- Strong team player, capable of effectively managing interactions with internal and external stakeholders, and handling multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent data management and record-keeping abilities
- Fluent communication skills in English
