Warehouse Operator – 7039

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for 2 Warehouse Operators, based in Visp, Switzerland for a limited contract until the end of the year, with the possibility of extension.

This position is responsible for drawing up logistics concepts for production campaigns assigned to them in collaboration with the project team. Responsible for the logistical management of the production campaign, from the requisition of materials through to the restoration of stock after the campaign, in compliance with GMP guidelines.

Main responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for the project teams regarding logistical matters.
  • The interface between operations/projects and central plant logistics.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate stock management of project-specific and operational warehouses (consumables, raw materials and equipment) and ensures cleanliness and order in their areas.
  • Responsible for the preparation, organisation, execution and follow-up of goods receipts, stock transfers and dispatches of chilled goods, whilst ensuring strict adherence to the cold chain.
  • Strives to critically examine operational processes and contributes creative suggestions for improvement. This is carried out in compliance with all safety, hygiene, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Open to general tasks within the support group.

Required Qualifications:

  •  Swiss or EU citizen with right to work for Switzerland
  • FZ Logistics Specialist preferred – alternatively, we will also consider EFZ Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologists / EFZ Laboratory Technicians specialising in Chemistry or Biology.
  • Experience in production or laboratories is an advantage.
  • Ideally, experience in the GMP sector.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills. Reliability and honesty.
  • Willingness to optimise processes.
