Biotechnologist – 6667 URA

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a Biotechnologist on a 12 months contract basis to work in their production facility in Visp, Valais area, Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities:

• Execute manufacturing activities in the area of Drug Product according to cGMP guidelines, ensuring batch execution, troubleshooting issues and making recommendations for resolution
• Execute manual Visual inspection of liquid and lyophilized vials (inspection of lyophilized and liquid vials to identify and remove all defective units). The final product must be free from any defect (e.g. absence of particles, no integrity defects or container defects) in order to be injected sterile to the patient
• Provide front line technical and procedural support working with the manufacturing team
• Ensure each batch is manufactured safely, on time, in compliance with the batch instructions and quality requirements
• Responsible to establish timely and with high quality the required production documentation (e.g. MBR, forms) or other relevant GMP documents (e.g. logbooks) for the assigned production area
• Support process related investigations and assists in decision making on production issues
• Support process changes and CAPAs related to process within required timelines
• Perform training activities of relevant areas as operator and support others and new joiners
• Operate, set up and clean production equipment and premises

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
• Past experience in GMP environment (preferably in DP sterile manufacturing)
• Fluent in either English or German (preferably both)
• Familiarity with GMP requirements, quality procedures and SOP execution
• Strong team orientation
• Good communication skills and interaction with a variety of interfaces within the organization
• Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude
• High motivation and dynamic drive
• Prepared to work flexible working hours
