Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a talented:

Piping Expert

on a 12-month position, with possibilities of extension.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer piping layouts for pharmaceutical utilities (WFI, clean steam, process gases, waste).
  • Select sanitary-grade materials (316L stainless steel, PVDF) and ensure regulatory compliance (ASME BPE, FDA, EU GMP).
  • Oversee installation, welding, and testing to meet GMP and validation requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and QA teams to resolve issues and ensure leak-tight, contamination-free systems.
  • Support commissioning and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
  • At least 10 years technical expertise in pharmaceutical piping systems (WFI, clean steam, process gases).
  • Proficiency in piping design software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, PDMS) and piping codes (ASME B31.3, ASME BPE).
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 211, and validation protocols.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or cleanroom construction is a plus.
  • Fluent German.
