PROCUREMENT MASTER DATA SPECIALIST – 7026 URA

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a: Master data specialist within the procurement team for a 12 months (high chances of extension) contract role based in VispValais area, Switzerland.

 

The Procurement Master Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate procurement and supplier master data in SAP to support efficient purchasing operations and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical quality standards. The role works closely with Procurement, Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain, and global/site teams to manage supplier data, implement vendor changes, and ensure materials are available for MRP planning and purchase order creation. Additionally, the specialist supports operational buyers with day-to-day procurement activities while driving data quality, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Maintain and manage procurement and supplier master data in SAP.

·      Coordinate supplier data collection and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical requirements.

·      Track and implement Vendor Change Notifications (VCNs) in collaboration with QA and other stakeholders.

·      Ensure procurement master data supports accurate MRP planning and efficient purchase order creation.

·      Collaborate with local and global Procurement, QA, Supply Chain, and site teams to maintain data integrity.

·      Support operational buyers with daily procurement activities and other assigned tasks.

·      Drive continuous improvement in procurement data processes and promote standardized ways of working.

Qualifications and Experience:

·      Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required

·      Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.

·      Fluent in English and German.

·      Experience with SAP procurement/master data and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration is preferred.
