Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a:

QA Specialist

for a 7-month contract role based in the Valais area, Switzerland.

In this position you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with the requirements outlined in the respective agreements related to material receipt services. You will also maintain up-to-date raw material data and information in our systems, collect and organize KPIs associated with the role, and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming material verification according to applicable procedures.
  • Establish and maintain raw material suppliers, SOPs, and systems.
  • Manage the qualification of materials used in the manufacturing process, including physical verification of incoming raw materials and subsequent release in our LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Manage deviations and changes associated with materials.
  • Collect KPIs linked to services related to material qualification and release.
  • Ensure the timely escalation of critical quality issues tied to materials while maintaining compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, particularly SAP and LIMS.
  • Experience in managing quality tools, including deviations, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and change controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure environments.
