Senior DevOps Python Software Engineer – Test Automation Systems (80-100%)

Our client is a leading medical technology company in Switzerland. It is headquartered in Central Switzerland and has a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Python Software Engineer – Test Automation Systems for a permanent position in the Graubünden area, Switzerland.

This is not a remote role. Up to 40% home office within Switzerland possible.

As an integral member of the Digital Solutions Group, part of the Innovation and Digitalization department, our client is seeking a seasoned Python Software Engineer with a knack for architectural design and software development in test automation.

This role is not just about writing code; it's about pioneering the automation landscape for embedded products, bridging our groundbreaking ventilators with cutting-edge hospital infrastructure and cloud-based applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the architecture, design, and implementation of our Python-based test automation framework and CI/CD environment, elevating our software test execution, document automation, and overall testing processes for embedded Linux devices.
  • Utilize your expertise to influence the adoption of modern software design and test automation strategies, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues to elevate the team’s capabilities.
  • Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers and cross-functional teams, providing insights and understanding their needs to ensure seamless integration and maximum efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • Exceptional skills in Python, with a proven track record in software architecture and design for embedded Linux devices.
  • Deep understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • You bring an analytical mindset to tackle complex problems, combined with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, goal-driven environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of modern C++ with focus on code quality, reusability, and simplicity.
  • Knowledge of CMake and C++ build processes.
  • Experience in a regulated environment such as automotive or medtech.
